
Patna, Aug 10: An official on Monday, Aug 10 said that more than half of Bihar state has been declared drought-hit.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a state cabinet meeting assessed the situation and took the decision to declare 26 out of 38 districts in Bihar as drought-hit, after considering all details.
Bihar has recorded a 43 pc rainfall deficit so far this monsoon season.This badly hit the transplanting of paddy seedlings and the farmers.
