London, Aug 8 (ANI): England wicketkeeper Matt Prior is hopeful that his team will make a comeback in the fourth Ashes Test against Australia, after they were bowled out for 102 and conceded a 94 runs lead on Day 1.

Prior said: "We can get out of this. We are behind the eight ball. We haven't played well but the ball is still swinging."

"We have four days to come back and early wickets will be important. We have the bowlers that can turn the game around," he said.

"The guys will hold their hands up and admit there were some dismissals that perhaps shouldn't have happened but we have plenty of match-winners and remain a tight unit," The Sun quoted Prior, as saying.

Prior blamed England's dismal Ashes slump on a fire alarm going off in the team hotel at 5 a.m.

Prior, who almost missed the match with back spasms, groaned: "I don't know how long we were outside the hotel. I think I was sleepwalking. It wasn't ideal.

"I think anyone would be slightly miffed at 5 a.m. standing in the rain with no shoes on. It's not an excuse but there were a few grumpy people around complaining they had been woken up at 5 a.m." (ANI)
