Free beer at the White House for some, but CEOs were made to pay for lunch

Washington, Aug.1 (ANI): The White House billed four corporate CEOS for having lunch with President Obama on Friday, a day after the latter organized a so-called "Beer Summit" with a black Harvard professor and a police sergeant where the drinks were on the house.

According to Politico, the lunch was arranged in the private dining room located adjacent to the Oval Office.

The White House says the practice helps avoid conflicts of interest.

The four CEOs who had lunch with Obama were Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg, Wal-Mart CEO Mike Duke, Nucor CEO Dan DiMicco and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.

A White House aide told Politico that they were required to pay for their meals. (ANI)
