Violence in Mau after 7 crushed by truck

Mau (Uttar Pradesh), July 29 (ANI): People in Uttar Pradesh's Mau town resorted to violence after a speeding truck crushed at least seven people to death and injured a dozen on Wednesday.

Crowd set on fire three police posts and also burnt vehicles and damaged property.

According to sources, a truck crushed five passers-by and seriously injured over a dozen.

Two more people died when they tried to chase the speeding vehicle and on the way collided with a three-wheeler at Sanskrit Pathshala crossing, they added. (ANI)

Bangalore: Curfew ends, but tension persists

Bangalore, Jan 22: The situation in the riot hit areas of Bangalore was tense this morning with life slowly limping back to normalcy. A 12 year old boy was killed in police firing and 50 others, including policemen were injured in the violance that flared up in a number of areas in Eastern parts of the city yesterday.
