Mumbai: Four held for killing two sisters

Mumbai, Jul 29: Four people were arrested on Tuesday, Jul 28 for allegedly murdering two sisters in their sixth floor flat in Mitradham Society in Parel of the Mumbai city.

Police said that the victims, identified as Krishnabai Gawde (58) and Pramila Gawde (56), were found brutally murdered at their residence. Police also said that the duo were murdered using sharp instruments. Jewellery and cash were found missing from the residence.

A short while later, four persons travelling in a taxi were stopped by police during regular checking. On searching the vehicle, the jewellery and cash robbed from the residence were found with them.

Police said the accused have admitted to the robbery and murder during interrogation.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'
