Delhi: 16 year old kidnapped and killed for ransom

New Delhi, Jul 29: 16-year-old Ribhu Chawla's body was found in near a public school in Vasant Kunj in south Delhi on Wednesday, Jul 29 morning. The child who was kidnapped on Tuesday, Jul 29 was killed by the abductors in spite of getting the Rs 20 Lakh that they had demanded as ransom.

Chawla who was a resident of Vikaspuri was studying at R Manglam School. The kidnappers who demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from his family for his safe release were paid the entire amount.

Despite that, his body was found near Ryan Public School in Vasant Kunj at 9 am on Wednesday, Jul 29. And based on the injury marks on the boy's neck, he was believed to have been strangled to death.

The police have taken the body into custody for investigations.

The increased number of crimes being reported from across the nation is drawing attention to the lack of law and order in the country.
