The only group that got a good view of the eclipse were the passengers on the special IAF flight which was at a height of 41,000 feet. The century's longest solar eclipse lasted for some 3 minutes 30 seconds between 6:20 am to 6:25 am, when the moon completely blocked out the sun.

According to experts, next such cosmic event will only take place in the year 2132.
