Flintoff's new fan is world's fastest man

London, July 22 (ANI): The world's fastest man has become an Andrew Flintoff fan after his five-wicket Lord's haul.

Triple Olympic medallist Usain Bolt, the reigning 100 metres world record-holder, reckons fearless Freddie has inspired him after ripping through the Aussies despite having a chronic knee problem.

"I love his aggression. I like aggressive players like Freddie and Kevin Pietersen. When Freddie and him play, they make it really exciting," The Sun quoted Bolt, as saying.

"I usually find Test cricket really boring because of all the guys who take for ever to make runs. I like the game to be exciting," added Bolt, who grew up watching cricket in his native Jamaica.

Bolt, who set a world-record mark of 9.69 seconds in Beijing last summer, will be aiming to stump the opposition himself when he races over 100 metre in the Aviva Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Friday.

He ran 9.79 in Paris last week and sent out a chilling warning to his rivals: I'm not at my best. 'm at about 85 per cent at the moment. I need to do some work on my speed endurance because I wasn't able to do much on that after I had a car accident in April."

"I had thorns in my foot. I lost about a month of training so I have a lot of catching up to do."

Bolt, 22, who is aiming to race both the 100m and 200m at next month's World Championships in Berlin, said: "It's very important to do as well in Berlin as I did last year to show the world that it wasn't a joke. It's important for me to win another championship. I'm the world record-holder in both events so I'm not really worried."

Bolt will race against fellow Jamaican and former world record- holder Asafa Powell and new British No 1 Simeon Williamson on Friday. (ANI)
