Akshardham temple attack: Key suspect held in Hyd

Hyderabad, Jul 19: Shaukatullah Ghori, one of the key suspect in Akshardham temple attack has been arrested as he arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Jul 18.

Cyberabad police commissioner S Prabhakar Reddy said, " Gujarat police reached Hyderabad with a long pending non-bailable Pota warrant against Ghori after coming to know about his arrest and took him to Gujarat immediately."

Two heavily armed terrorists had attacked Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar on Sept 25, 2003 where several people were killed and many injuried. Shaukatullah who was in Gujarat at the time of the attack suspected to be one of those who had provided base support to the Pak terrorists.

Shaukattuallah is also the brother of dreaded terror suspect Farhatullah Ghori who is said to be operating from Saudi Arabia. Farhatullah is wanted by city police in numerous terrorist related cases including the suicide bomb attack on the Task Force head office and Sai Baba temple blast.

Rs 250 cr proj to help CAs brush up on soft skills

Kochi, May 23: Faced with increasing competition from MBAs, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is embarking on a Rs 250 crore initiative to impart soft skills and management training to its members.
