GM India unveils special edition of Chevrolet Aveo

New Delhi, Jul 17: On the same day that the Tata's people's car, Nano is all set to hit the roads, General motors India has launched special edition of its entry-level sedan Chevrolet Aveo.

"The launch of the special edition of the Chevrolet Aveo is a testament to the importance that GM India attaches to maximising customer satisfaction," General Motors India Vice President P Balendran said.

Even though the price of the new version will be the same price as the existing version; it comes equipped with features like illuminated key cylinder, chrome door handles, rear arm-rest with cup holders and height adjustable driver's seat.

Mumbai, Mar 12: General Motors India will start trial production in its new plant in Talegaon next week and is confident of achieving the sales target of 200,000 by 2010, by which time export of components from India will cross One Billion USD. The second plant coming up near Pune at a cost of USD 300 million is all set for production and commercial manufacture, which would commence in the last quarter of 2008, GM India President and Managing Director Karl.....

Hyderabad, Oct 14: On Tuesday, Oct 14 General Motors (GM) India launched the new Chevrolet Tavera NEO 2 Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV). ''The new Tavera is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class. It combines trouble-free performance with comfortable passenger accommodation. The Tavera recently finished second in its segment in the J D Power Asia Pacific-2008 India Initial Quality Study,'' GM India Vice-President P Balendran said.
