NDA entrance exam (II) on Aug 30

New Delhi, Jul 16: The National Defence Academy (NDA) Entrance Examination (II) 2009 is scheduled to happen on Aug 30, 2009 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings.

This is the entrance exam is for the admission into the course that will commence from Jun 30, 2010. The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination is 339.

The 339 vacancies are divided among the wings as: 195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 39 for the Executive Branch of Naval Academy.

New Delhi, Aug 10: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today announced the results of the written part of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy examinations held in April. The candidates who passed the examinations have qualified for interview by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA and the Naval Academy's Executive branch courses commencing from January 2008, according to a UPSC release......

Panaji, Jan 12: The Centre is thinking of directing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to expedite recruitment of officers for various central administrative services within three months instead of procrastinating the process for months together so that vacancies are filled up on time. It is also considering to suggest to the recruiting agencies including the public sector enterprises to conduct campus interviews besides going to tribal areas so that the qualified people belonging to the SC/ST/OBCs and other weaker sections.....

Courts can not interfere in selection process: SC

New Delhi, Jan 1: The Supreme Court has ruled that the decision of the selection committee can not be disturbed unless and until it is actuated by malice or apparent mistake has been committed.
