ABIDe B'lore invites citizens on Taskforce bill

Bangalore, Jul 11: Taking an unprecedented initiative, the state government of Karnataka is inviting the commoners to part take in the Infrastructure planning for the city through ABIDe .

ABIDe, which stands for Agenda for Bengaluru Infrastructure and Development Task Force was the brain child of the Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa. Now, the programme seeks the citizen"s inputs on 'ABIDe Task Force' which deals with Task Force"s recommendations on bolstering regional governance.

The first meeting which is set to take place at the National Games Village, Koramangala on Sunday, Jul 12 is expecting to see citizens participate and give their inputs on the recommendations. The meeting will see the presence of Member of Parliament Mr Ananth Kumar who is the Vice Chairman of ABIDe, and Member of Parliament, Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar will be the Convenor.

More such meeting will be soon held across the city and the public recommendations thuscollected will be considered by the lawmakers who will be formulating a legislature soon.

ABIDe Bangalore has already devised draft reports in the areas of Governance, Road Traffic Management & Transportation, Urban Poor, and Public Security. The reports are available on www.abidebengaluru.in.

Cauvery: Complete shutdown of K'taka on Feb 12

Bangalore, Feb 10: Karnataka will be completely shutdown on Feb 12 from 6 am to 6pm to support statewide bandh called by Kannada organisations against the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal verdict.
