Another Indian bullied on Big Brother

London, Jul 10: After the whole controversy triggered off by Jade Goody comments during her fights with the Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, another case of racism in the Big Brother house has surfaced. According to reports, there have been at least 300 complaints from the viewers that Marcus Akin racially bullied 25-year-old Indian contender Sree Dasari.

The watchdog, Ofcom that received the complaints said that it will look into the issue. Marcus, a 35-year-old window fitter reportedly imitates former housemate Sree's Indian accent.

Apart from Marcus imitating the Indian's accent, there are complaints on Marcus threatening Sree.

"Big Brother intervened and took immediate and appropriate action relating to the argument between Sree and Marcus," a spokesman for the show said.

Informing that Marcus Akin has received a formal warning for using threatening language, he added, "Threatening language and behaviour is not acceptable in the Big Brother house."

Melbourne,Oct 19: Fearing a reprisal of the alleged 'racist' taunts hurled at Andrew Symonds by the Indian fans, Australian authorities have warned of strict action against such parochial elements. Bahrain Minister denies racism charges

Dubai, Feb 2: Bahrain's Labour Minister Majeed Al Alawi, who was criticised by human rights groups for allegedly making racist remarks, rejected the charge saying his call was only meant to protect the Gulf's identity and culture.
