Lewis Hamilton is not scared of driving on his biggest crash track

Melbourne, July 10 (ANI): British F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has vowed to be fearless while driving on the Nurburgring track in Germany, the scene of his biggest crash till date.

"It's about having the confidence to reset and do it again even better. I don't have a fear factor," The Sun quoted, Hamilton, 24, as saying.

Hamilton will tackle the 175 mph Schumacher-S corner on this track, where he slammed into a tyre wall during qualifying two years ago.

"I'll take it flat-out as soon as I get to it. The accident was as bad as I've ever had but it won't even cross my mind. I don't know what it is but I can deal with accidents. I've always been able to," Hamilton said.

During the crash, he sat in the mangled wreckage of his McLaren cockpit for several minutes before staggering on to the gravel.

The then F1 rookie was treated trackside for a worrying 13 minutes before being wheeled away with a drip and his neck in a brace.

"I went in head-on and I only had the seatbelt supporting me so it was definitely the biggest knock I've ever had," Hamilton said.

But as he munched on a few Jelly Babies in his team's motorhome on Thursday, the world-beater insisted the high-speed corner would hold no fears for him.

"You can't think about it otherwise it holds you back. I was training earlier this year on my bike in Geneva and got to the top of the mountain and came back down again and off the edge of the road into a field.

"I just jumped off at a fairly decent speed and stacked it big time. Hit the dust, pretty big-time. But I went straight back to the top of the hill and did it even faster," he said.
