Hyderabad, Jul 9: A 28-year-old civil engineering student form Bangalore got himself arrested for being in love with Sania Mirza. The youth who has been reportedly stalking and sending 'obsessive' text messages to the Tennis star was arrested on Wednesday, Jul 8.
Mohammed Ashraf, who somehow got his hands on Sania's phone number has been reportedly sending text messages and making threatening phone calls to her for a while now. However, he got arrested when he created nuisance at her residence in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Jul 8.
Ashraf who heard that Sania Mirza was getting engaged to her childhood friend, Sohrab Mirza on Jul 10 arrived at her house with a friend, D Mohanty and demanded that the engagement should be cancelled and got into a heated argument with her father, Imran Mirza.
A case was registered at the Banjara Hills police station and police personnel have been posted outside the players house.
