Yemen plane crash: 13 bodies, debris found

Dares Salaam, Jul 8: At least 13 bodies and debris were found on Wednesday, Jul 8 on the Tanzanian island of the Yemen Airline that crashed in the Indian ocean on Tuesday, Jun 30

The prime minister's spokesman, Said Nguba said, "The bodies were found on the shores of Mafia isle and an investigation has started". He also said, "We have reports from the Mafia district commissioner that 13 bodies were found last night and some pieces of a plane which had markings indicating that they could be from the Yemania jet,"

"Some of the bodies have already decomposed. Investigation is going on," Nguba said.

Dubai, Dec 30: Saddam Hussein's daughter has asked that his body be buried in Yemen, a source close to the family told Reuters today. Iraqi officials have said Saddam will be executed at dawn in Baghdad, after being convicted on November 5 of crimes against humanity in the killings of 148 Shi'ite men in the town of Dujail in 1982. Beirut (Lebanon), Jan.23 (ANI): A former Guantanamo Bay detainee freed by the United States, has become the deputy leader of Al Qaeda's Yemeni branch.Saudi militant, Said Ali al-Shihri, is suspected of involvement in a deadly bombing of the United States Embassy in Yemen's capital, Sana, in September.
