SC seeks status report on Aarushi's Murder case

New Delhi, Jul 8: The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday, Jul 7 asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) why there were no status reports on the findings from the investigation of the Aarushi Talwar murder case May 2008.

The bench of Justice Altmas Kabir and Justice Cyriac Joseph sought updates on the case.

Aarushi Talwar was founded murdered on the terrace of her house on May 16, 2008 and the domestic help's body was recovered a day later from the same terrace.At first the domestic help was the prime suspect. However, after his body was found, Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar was arrested. The police were forced to release him due to lack of evidence.

The case that took the limelight in the Indian television media scene became a sensational one. After all the theories and speculations created a havoc in the media, the case eventually calmed down to resurface now due to this Supreme Court order.

Dr Talwar brought to residence for investigation

Noida, Jun 3: Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the Aarushi murder case, was today brought to his residence in Jal Vayu Vihar amid tight security for further investigations. The 15-member CBI team brought the dentist at his Noida residence in Sector 25 at around 1055 hrs. The CBI searched his house till 0100 hrs and questioned his wife, Nupur Talwar, to verify her earlier information. A day after taking over the case CBI also questioned suspended Station House Officer.....
