Heavy rains lash Mumbai, Met dept expects more

Mumbai, Jul 8: Heavy rains continue to lash Mumbai and fill the roads reminding the country of the horrific floods the city had faced just a few years back. Waterlogging in low lying areas have caused traffic troubles around the city. And the air traffic too have been disrupted.

Since the visibility had been reduced to just 200 meters flight schedules were affected and runway operations were suspended at the Mumbai airport. The runway operations resumed at around 10 am. The Met department that is still worried over the lack of rains in the Northern region said that Mumbai would see some more heavy showers along with gusty winds and thunderstorms in the next 48 hours.

Interestingly, in the city struggling with heavy rains and waterlogging the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has imposed 30 per cent water cut across the metropolis.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'

Islamabad, Dec 5: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Adviser on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, has that India has only sought 3 terrorist suspects and not 20 as has been reported by the media.He also said that the list submitted by the Indian Government does not include the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is being accused of masterminding last week's Mumbai terror attacks  that claimed nearly 200 lives and caused injuries to nearly.....
