Software Engineer from AP shot at in Johannesburg

Warangal, Jul 7: While the Indians in Australia, Canada and United States are facing alleged racial attacks, a new report of violence against an Indian comes in. A software engineer from Andhra Pradesh has been reportedly shot by unidentified assailants in South Africa.

B Kiran, a resident Arepalli village near Warangal, was attacked in Johannesburg Thursday, Jul 2. The victim's father, B Shankaraiah on Tuesday, Jul 7 disclosed the details of the incident.Kiran was shot at twice and is now recovering in the hospital. Even though he is out of danger, his parents are trying to get passports and visas in order to go to South Africa the earliest.

Kiran has been staying in South Africa for two years now. He reportedly visited his parents recently and went back on Jun 27.

Cash award for Commonwealth medal winners

This is not a racial attack, purely a sin of crime. His partner who was shot is dead and we do not have any information on this. Kiran was lucky to survive and his friends are helping to come out of his medical expenses.
