Moily condemns slapping of bank manger by Congress MP

New Delhi, July1 (ANI): Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily has condemned the slapping of a bank manager by the Congress MP M Jagannath, and said it is unfortunate and no MP should indulge in such kind of act.

M Jagannath representing Nagarkurnool constituency of Andhra Pradesh in Lok Sabha, caught on camera slapping the manager of rural bank in Uppunu-tala in the limits of his constituency.

Moily said, no action has been initiated against Jagannath, and he will speak to him, before taking up the matter.

Jagannath alleged the bank manager of delaying the release of loans to SC and ST community, and giving improper answers in a meeting of officials and public representative chaired by him on Tuesday.

Police registered a case against Jagannath for assaulting, causing injury and abusing a government employee.

Meanwhile Jagannath denied the charges of slapping and said he intend to catch the bank manager's shoulder. (ANI)
