Protester in Baramulla burns tyres to block roads
Srinagar, Jul 1: The violence that was triggered off following the report of alleged police misbehavior with local woman in Baramulla continues even after a curfew was imposed on Monday, Jun 29. The protesters clash with the security forces deployed to contain the violence, and as per the latest report, the death toll in the violence has increased to 4.

The mob of protesters reportedly marched the streets in spite of the curfew chanting 'we want freedom'. The security forces were forced to open fire in Khanpora locality on Tuesday, Jun 30 evening which led to the raise in death toll to four, when Amir Rashid succumbed to his injuries at Soura hospital on Wednesday, Jul 1 morning.

In relation to this death, there has been a murder case registered against the CRPF personnel. Following the shooting incident the Jammu Kashmir government had already decided to withdraw Central Reserve Police Force from town Baramulla and deployed troops of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP).

The anti- India demonstration is being fueled by the deaths of the protesters and the state continues to fume right after the Shopian Double Murder case protests.

Five injured in Kashmir highway accident

Srinagar, Jan 31: Five people were injured in two separate road accidents on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, official sources said today. They said two people were injured, when a car collided head-on with a truck near tool post at Qazigund on the highway. Three others were injured in similar accident at Pampore on the highway.The injured were admitted to hospitals, they added. UNI.....
