Did PC mislead the nation on Maya statues issue?

New Delhi, Jun 30: Speaking to the voters in his constituency, Shivaganga, Union Home Minister P chidambaram noted that statue queen Mayawati spent Rs 1000 crore on establishing statues and memorials of herself and other dalit leaders. But it appears she spent 2000 crore, and the maintenance cost for these would added up to Rs 270 crore a year.

Defending his leader, the Statue queen's right hand man Satish Mishra said that nobody objected to statues related to the upper caste. So the question is does two wrongs make one right? No.

Why did Mayawati not file a PIL against the upper caste statues?

The right thing for the Supreme Court of India would be to pass an order to bring down all statues irrespective of caste. Only freedom fighter statues should be left alone. That is the least they deserve.

Maya to reopen closed cases; Lawyers condemn

Pratapgarh, May 20: Counsels of the district today condemned the decision of newly elected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati to reopen cases taken back during the regime of former chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, saying it was against the law. The counsels said such a decision will not only effect the law and order situation, besides, lengthening the court procedures but was also against Indian Criminal Procedural Code (CrPC). I request to the Government & Supreme Court of India that what ever amount Ku. Mayawati spent on Her statue & eletoral symbol statue must be recovered from her properties.She must be proscute for misutilizing the government fund alongwith her involve in the project.Then only it will give justice with needy people of Utter Pradesh.
