Physically challenged swimmers practice hard ahead of Commonwealth Games

Bhopal, June 27 (ANI): A 12-member team of physically challenged swimmers is practising hard in the recently organised swimming camp here ahead of Commonwealth Games 2010.

The second coaching camp for the physically challenged swimmers was jointly organised by the National Paralympic Association and National Paralympic Committee.

BK Dabas, Coach of National Paralympic Association, said that the camp was organised keeping in view the Commonwealth Games 2010.

"The camp which we are running is keeping in view the Commonwealth Games 2010 twelve swimmers are taking part in this camp," said Dabas.

Meanwhile Ramvaran Pal, nationally and internationally renowned swimmer, said that the preparations were in full swing.

"I have participated in both national and international competitions and I have been selected for the team which is going to participate in Commonwealth Games 2010 to be held in Delhi. The preparation is on in full swing in the camp for the games," said Pal.

The third coaching camp for the physically challenged swimmers will begin in Chandigarh from July 21. (ANI)
