Murray invents snack-based nicknames for his tennis pals

London, June 27 (ANI): British tennis star Andy Murray has invented snack-based nicknames for his tennis pals.

According to The Sun, Murray told fans on Twitter that he had monickers for ex-Wimbledon champs Lleyton Hewitt, 28, and Boris Becker, 41, as well as for James Blake, 29, and Potito Starace, 27.

For example, Hewitt was Lleyton Chewit, while Blake was James Flake, Becker was Boris Double-Decker and Potito Starace was Dorito Starace.

In his next tweet, he renamed close rival Novak Djokovic, 22, as Yorkie-vic; Juan Martin Del Potro, 20, became del popcorn and Vania King, 20, was Kingsize Mars.

Murray then turned to John McEnroe, 50, and Bjorn Borg, 53 - McEnrolo and Prawn Borg.

Todd Woodbridge, 38, was Cod Woodbridge and American Mardy Fish, 27, was Mardy Fishcakes.

Martina Hingis, 28, was Martina Haggis, Vince Spadea, 34, turned into Mince Spadea, former British star Greg Rusedski, 33, was Egg Rusedski and Dick Norman, 38, became Spotted Dick Norman. (ANI)
