Wimbledon: Andy Murray drubs Gulbis, enters Rnd 3

Wimbledon, Jun 26: Andy Murray stormed into the thrird round of the Wimbledon after winning a grudge match against Latvian Ernests Gulbis 6-2 7-5 6-3 on Thursday, Jun 25.

Murray dished out his straight sets revenge victory on Gulbis who had accused him of cheating in the previous meeting in front of a 15,000 crowd. The No.3 seed Scot dominated the world No.74 right from the start and sealed the deal with a 88 minute performance.

"I served brilliantly the whole match and didn't give him many chances at all," Murray said.

After the game, he also expressed his delight on receiving The Queen's fan mail. "Just well done for winning at Queen's and good luck here was the gist of it," he shared.

Wimbledon champion fuels match-fixing debate

Paris, Oct 31: Wimbledon doubles champion Michael Llodra fuelled the debate on alleged match-fixing in tennis by saying today he had been asked to throw a match four years ago. ''I was in my hotel room and somebody called to ask me not to try too hard the next day,'' Llodra told French radio. ''That was four years ago. I said 'no' and hung up. Now, with what has happened since, I think maybe be I was one of the first.....
