Rehman Malik asks Taliban to leave Pakistan's soil

Islamabad, June 22 (ANI): Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik has asked the Taliban to leave the country, as Pakistan's military's offensive would not stop until every insurgent is eliminated from the nation's soil.

The Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying, that Pakistan had long said 'no' to the Taliban, and now they must leave Pakistan, adding that the Taliban were neither Muslims nor Pakistanis.

Malik said the entire nation was ready to defend the country against terrorism, and the days of the Taliban were numbered.

He claimed that terrorists wanted Pakistan to disintegrate, and the government would never let that happen.

Malik also informed that a United Nations team, investigating the murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, would present its report within six months. (ANI)

Rehman denies Zardari making a threat to lawyers' movement

Islamabad, Jan 28 (ANI): Pakistan's Information Minister Sherry Rehman has denied that President Asif Ali Zardari made any threatening comments regarding the upcoming lawyers' long march in February at the Parliament building on Tuesday.
