UK boxer Amir Khan quizzed by cops after brunette's assault complaint

London, June 20 (ANI): Cops interrogated Commonwealth lightweight boxing champion Amir Khan, 22, on Friday following a waitress' complaint that he had indecently assaulted her.

The 20-year-old brunette accused Khan and four others of molesting her at a party in April.

She said that she met Khan and his friends at London's Funky Buddha club.

She alleged that the men smashed up her flat in Camden, stole items, and left a bag of white powder.

Khan voluntarily went to Holborn police station to face the questioning by cops regarding the allegations levelled against him.

Though Khan was not arrested, the other four men were.

The arrested men were aged 29, 31, 30 and 22.

A full report will be sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.

"He (Khan) adamantly denies anything untoward happened," British tabloid The Sun quoted a source close to the boxer as saying. (ANI)
