
Ahmedabad, Jun 19: In an attempt to equip its students with all that's needed before they go out into the recession hiyt world, the indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is all set to introduce elective courses by Jul 2009 that deal how to handle economical meltdown or a financial crisis.
"Regarding the persisting economic position, we had specially planned the programme of strategic cost management on how to cut the costs," Mr BH Jajoo, Dean of IIM-A, said.
These courses will be featured in the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and through Management Development Programmes (MDPs).
Intially, a 4-day course will be offered by IIM-A in strategic cost-management in the Jul 2009. Speaking on this, IIM-A Director, Mr Samir Barua said "The strategic cost management is the first course within such courses."
