India, Pak must continue talks to fight terror: US

Washington, Jun 17: The United States called the new development in the Indo-Pak relations 'encourage' while responding to the meeting that took place in the SCO Summit between Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari.

"A resumption of such high-level engagement in the aftermath of the November Mumbai attacks is encouraging," State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said.

Welcoming this development, US also said that the two countries must work together to fight terrorism and to promote regional stability."We have said before that India and Pakistan need to continue their dialogue to find joint solutions against terrorism and to promote regional stability," Ian added.

The meeting between the two leaders gained a lot of attention as the two countries ceased their peace talks after the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks.

Anti-terror fight won't be affected by Mumbai attacks: Zardari
