PM says no gloating over internal strife in BJP

New Delhi, June 17 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said he does not like to gloat over the internal strife in the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Talking to reporters on board after attending twin summits in the Urals city of Yekatarinburg in Russia, Dr. Singh wished well to other political parties.

"Well I am not in favour of gloating over difficulties of other political parties. I wish them well," Singh said.

The BJP has witnessed internal strife post poll with various senior leaders pointing fingers at campaign managers.

Dr. Singh also said that both he and opposition leader Lal Krishna Advani have apologised to each other over their heated exchanges during the poll campaign.

"Well I was compelled to reply and I did say something which Advani said hurt him, and he rang me up on the 16th and he expressed regret and in exchange I apologized to him if I could have done anything to hurt his feelings. I look forward to a very close relationship between the leader of the opposition and ourselves," Singh said.

Earlier, BJP's vice-president Yashwant Singh quit taking the moral responsibility of his party's debacle, and on Monday its general secretary Arun Jaitley resigned keeping with the tradition of one man holding one post. (ANI)

Bhutto flayed for seeking intl help to probe

Islamabad, Oct 25: Flaying the demand for engaging foreign experts in the probe into Karachi blasts, Pakistan Information and Broadcasting Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani said former prime minister Benazir Bhutto ''wants to rule Pakistan while residing in London''. ''If Ms Bhutto wants to employ foreigners for the investigations, she should also seek votes from them and not from the Pakistani people,'' the Minister said. He said expressing doubts about national institutions and experts was equal to having distrust in the country.....
