Mumbai, Jun 15: Shiney Ahuja who was produced in Andheri court on Monday, Jun 15, has been remanded to three-day police custody.

The Bollywood actor has been booked for rape under Section 376 and also charged under Section 339 for wrongful restraint and Section 506 for threatening another person.

Actor, Shiney Ahuja detained under rape charges

Shiney Ahuja has reportedly been arrested under rape charges on Sunday, Jun 14 after his 18-year-old domestic help alleged that the Bollywood actor had raped her.

"FIR has been registered. The case is filed against Shiney Ahuja. She (the victim) has alleged rape and investigations are on," DCP, Niket Kaushik said.

The 18-year-old victim was sent for medical examination on Sunday, Jun 14 and the preliminary reports suggest she was sexually abused. Ahuja was also taken for medical examinations. The girl who worked for Ahuja for over a month now has reported that the incident took place in the actor's house.

Ahuja who is detained in Oshiwara police station is expected to be produced in Andheri Court on Monday, Jun 15.
