Melbourne, Jun 13: Even as Indian students in Melbourne and Sydney held series of rallies over violent attacks, more cases of alleged racist attacks against Indians are pouring in. In the latest attack, 24-year old Hardik Bipinbhai Patel was attacked by three people in Melbourne on Friday night, Jun 12.
Patel reported that when he was trying to get into his car, two people came in front of him and punched him in the face.
"Then someone from my back side hit on my head and I fell unconscious. When I woke up I was found far away from the area and an elderly man helped me to reach hospital," Patel was quoted as saying in a news agency report.
Patel who hails from Surat is pursuing a course in commercial cookery at the Melbourne University.

The attackers also reportedly snatched the Patel's mobile, wallet and car keys. Patel suffered face injuries in the assault and was admitted in the hospital on Friday, Jun 12. He has now been discharged and is in a stable condition. Patel who hails from Surat is pursuing a course in commercial cookery at the Melbourne University.
