12 people killed in Gujarat road mishap

Ahmedabad, June 13 (ANI): At least twelve people were killed and six others injured when a cement-laden truck overturned on the Badra-Hingorala Highway, 30 km from Amreli this morning.

According to sources, the incident occurred when the truck carrying labourers was going towards Kutch.

The injured have been admitted to a district hospital. (ANI)

Baghdad, Dec 30: A US soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad, the US military said today, bringing the number of US military deaths in Iraq since the beginning of the war to at least 2,996. Hajipur (Bihar), Dec 30: At least 40 people were feared killed when a private bus jumped the rallings of Mahatma Gandhi Setu over the Ganga and plunged into the river early today. Colombo, Dec 29: Two people were wounded in a blast in a van on the outskirts of the Sri Lankan capital today, the military said. ''There was a van parked there, there was an explosion, we are investigating what actually happened,'' Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe told Reuters.
