Tourists throng Manali to evade summer heat

Manali, June 11 (ANI): Manali in Himachal Pradesh has become a hot spot amongst tourists as more and more people are flocking the hill resort to escape the scorching summer heat of the plains.

Over the years, the hill resort has been witnessing increased tourist inflow as summers get intense in the plains and tourists look for the cool surroundings of Manali.

The incoming of high-budget foreign tourists has also witnessed a surge here due to the ideal weather and friendly environment.

Apart from the foreign tourists, Indian tourists from plains are heading towards this cool hilly town to beat scorching summer heat.

"Weather is fantastic especially for those coming from plains," said Ashish, a tourist.ith heavy flow of tourists, hotels in Manali are jam-packed and even the small hotels.

"At present, in Manali, it is the peak season. Every hotel is almost packed. The tourist arrival statistics must be around 20 to 25 thousand a day. For the next two weeks, all the hotels are booked," said Praveen, a hotelier.

Sports like skiing, mountain biking, snow scooter riding, paragliding and white water river rafting and other adventure sports are some of the main attractions for the tourists.
