Students launch Clooney exam campaign on Facebook

Melbourne, June 11 (ANI): Hollywood star George Clooney's name may feature in the answers of some of the 83,000 VCE students sitting in this year's General Achievement Test (GAT), all thanks to a caper spread through word of mouth and social networking websites to include the actor in as many answers as possible.

According to reports, one Facebook site dedicated to 'Project Clooney' has attracted more than 1400 members, while another has attracted more than 6500 members.

"We're not saying don't take it seriously ... We're simply suggesting that we should all do something to mess with the examiners a bit," The Age quoted the site as reading.

"Your mark won't suffer, it will simply leave a large amount of examiners very confused," the site added.

The pranksters have also changed Wikipedia's entry on GAT to include 'Operation Clooney'.

They have even created a cheat sheet that links general themes with Clooney films to make it easier to drop his name.

One Facebook entry has suggested that Chuck Norris replace Clooney in next year's GAT.

Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority public affairs manager Justin Shortal dubbed the Clooney prank "silly".

"We expect VCE students to ignore it," he said.

VCAA declined to comment whether Clooney references would affect students' marks. (ANI)
