Chandigarh, June 11 (ANI): Spa culture has become the fad among a majority of the affluent families residing in Chandigarh.

Many families don't mind spending ample sums to de-stress from their hectic lifestyle.

It is said that Punjabis are well known for their desire to live to the fullest and enjoy all the good things in life.

In tune with this notion, the elite residents of Chandigarh are not batting an eyelid to splurge on spa treatment for healthy and happy lifestyle.pa therapy has become a natural choice for the rich people to indulge themselves.

It is the most upcoming trend to spend huge sum of money to get various massages and other services of natural ingredients, such as facials, body scraps and body wraps.

Besides providing physical relaxation and mental tranquillity, spa treatment has caught the fancy of many youth in the city.

"It's very relaxing when I come to spa. It helps to distress from the daily routine. It is recreational activity for me," said Karan Sharma, a spa enthusiast.

Oil massage and water jets that give a feeling of floating on water, also called dry floatation are some of the popular treatments offered by the numerous spas which have come up in the city.

"I think health has become such a big issue. With recession, you experience a lot of stress. So we do have clients. They are coming in to get a relaxation because they are stressed out. I have not seen slide in our clients. As a matter of fact people are stressed out with everyday life. They are looking forward to coming to spa and get the relaxed feeling," noted Kumel Baath, Manager, Spa Pavonia, Chandigarh.

Malay women queuing for refreshing spa and salon services in jail

Kuala Lumpur, June 22 (ANI): Women are increasingly queuing up to go to the Kajang Prison (women's wing) in Malaysia, which has opened spa and salon services.Since it opened its doors to the public last December, scores of women have been regular visitors to the Kajang Prison spa and salon, especially on weekends when it becomes very difficult to get an appointment.The spa authorities say that the purpose behind starting the spa was to teach skills to women prisoners,.....
