Nimbalkar murder: CBI arrests NCP leader Padamasinh
The official sources said that Padamsinh Patil, a Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP and a former Maharashtra home minister, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday, Jun 6 in connection with the murder of the Congress leader in 2006.
According to sources Patil complained of severe chest pain and has been admitted to the ICU of Mumbai's J J Hospital. He was to be taken to the Panvel court at about 11:30 a.m, Sunday Jun 7.
However, last week the CBI has arrested two people who have been charged with Nimbalkar's killing. The two of them have revealed that they had also been given contract to kill Magsaysay Award winner, Anna Hazare.
