Huge cache of arms seized in Panchkula

Panchkula (Haryana) June 7 (ANI): Haryana police on Saturday seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition and arrested three persons in Panchkula.

Most of the weapons were stolen from a gun depot in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

Police arrested the kingpin of the gang Rajiv alias Raja and his accomplices - Rekha Rani and Ramadeep from the National Highway 1 near Issargarh in Kurukshetra after a brief exchange of fire.

According to the police the gang had committed a series of robberies in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh.

"This is a very big success for Haryana police because those who have been nabbed had plans to spread terror in Punjab and Haryana.," said Rajiv Dalal, Director General of Police, Haryana. (ANI)

Mumbai, Dec 27: Seven bomb explosions in suburban trains, blasts in Malegaon, renewed underworld activities, riots, day light shoot-out, seizure of arms and ammunition and narcotics containers coupled with encounters marked the year 2006 in the country's financial capital. Nepal cabinet soon once rebel arms sealed
