Australia to test Twenty20 form against Bangladesh: Haddin

London, June 1 (ANI): Australia is keen to gauge their Twenty20 form in Monday's warm-up against Bangladesh, claimed wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.

The sides meet at Trent Bridge. The Australians will have another practice match against New Zealand at The Oval the following day before starting their World Twenty20 campaign in a clash with the West Indies at the London ground on Saturday, reports The Age.

"The energy the guys have shown and enthusiasm has been quite good, so we're actually looking forward to getting our teeth into the game tomorrow," Haddin said.

"With these games you want to get out of it as an individual what you can so you go into the first World game with some confidence and a bit of rhythm under your belt. We haven't won this tournament before so we're pretty keen to make our mark ... it's obviously one piece of silverware we don't have," he added.

Australia lost in the semi-finals of the inaugural Twenty20 world championship in 2007 to eventual champions India in South Africa, who have nine members of their winning squad back this year. (ANI)

Home detention for Dr Mohamed Haneef

Melbourne, July 27: Charges against Indian doctor Mohamed Haneef may have been dropped, but he would still be kept under detention till the Immigration Department decides whether to reinstate his visa or deport him. But it would come as a relief to the Indian doctor, his family and supporters that Haneef would not be moved to Immigration Detention as charges against him have been dropped now.
