Swat Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah killed, claims NWFP minister

Lahore, May 28 (ANI): Pakistan has claimed that Swat Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah has been killed in a military operation being carried out in the SwatValley.

Announcing a whopping four million rupees bounty on Fazlullah, the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain said the Army has confirmed the deaths of several top militant commanders.

The NWFP government has also announced cash reward for the arrest of 21 other Taliban commanders, The News reports.

It has also announced an additional bounty of four million rupees over arrest of Haji Muslim Khan, and five million rupees over arrest of the Taliban's Naib Ameer Shah Doran. (ANI)

Lahore, Feb.3: Pakistan Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud has reportedly made a conditional offer to the government if the latter wants him to stop his aggressive activities. 35 militants arrested in northern Swat valley

Islamabad, Jan 22: Pakistani security forces claimed to have arrested 35 militants from various areas in the restive northern Swat valley, along with a would-be suicide bomber and cleric. This cleric had authored a controversial Fatwa (decree), sanctioning beheadings of government officials and allowing suicide attacks. Chuprial and Loe Namal areas in Matta tehsil were cordoned off as security forces continued to search for militants. The would-be suicide bomber was identified as Farman. He was arrested along with his father Maulvi.....

'Pakistan to deploy army for polls duty'
