Hizbul Mujahideen militant arrested in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, May 28 (ANI): A Hizbul Mujahideen militant, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, was arrested in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Thursday.

The militant was arrested during a vehicle checking, and was identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar alias "Fahid-ullah", a resident of Krengsoo village of Anantnag.

Police claims to have kept a special watch in the area following specific information about possible movement of the Hizbul Mujahideen militant.

The arrested militant did not offer any resistance and was taken away for further questioning. (ANI)

Srinagar, Feb 10 (ANI): Police arrested Muzaffar Ahmad Dar alias 'Gaznavi', a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, in a raid at Saderbal near Kashmir University in Srinagar."Muzaffar was an important commander of the outfit who had links with top leaders of the Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He had involvement in many activities in the Kashmir valley," said B. Hizbul, JeM hideout busted in J-K

Jammu, Mar 4 (ANI): The security forces have unearthed a joint hideout of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfits in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.A joint operation was launched in Chakrishipura by the troops of 57 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir police.An AK rifle, two magazines, three rockets of rocket projectile gun, one 60 MM motar bomb, four Chinese hand grenades, one magazine of nine mm pistol and 23 grenades were recovered from them.
