Infosys BPO to start hiring again

Bangalore, May 26: Media reports suggest that India's leading IT firm Infosys Technologies started hiring again for its BPo wing. Infy states business needs and new projects as reasons for hiring.

Reports say that Infosys BPO has about 200 vacancies coming up on a month on month basis. K Raghavendra, the BPO Vice-President and HR Head said that the openings are at the entry level and the company plans to recruit for various processes across all service offerings.

He added that Infy is recruiting for both voice and non-voice offerings. The company had earlier laid off more that 600 contract workers. Currently Infosys BPO has about 17,238 employees.

BSE Sensex tanked over 450 points

Mumbai, Mar 14: The Sensex opened with sharp decline today by over 450 points in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange following a setback on the global bourses.All Sensex stocks opened in red with heavy losses, as there was panic selling across the board. At 9.57 am, Sensex was down 453 points at 12,529 and Nifty was down 134 points at 3636. Major gainers in the opening trade were Rel Comm, Reliance, Satyam, ACC, Guj Ambuja, Infosys.OneIndia.....

Biotechnology major Biocon forays into nephrology space

Bangalore, Mar 09:  Biotechnology major Biocon on Thursday forayed into the nephrology space with the launch of a portfolio of five renal therapy products for the domestic and global markets, which it said was cheaper compared to MNC drug prices. The new immunosuppressants for renal therapy are at least 35-40 per cent cheaper than the MNC drug prices in the similar product category, the company's Marketing Head Rakesh Bamzai said.The Bangalore-headquartered company's Chairman and Managing Director, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said.....
