Johannesberg, May 25: On his team's debacle in the finals, Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya has said that his team messed it up for themselves in the last four overs and handed over victory to the opponents, Deccan Chargers.
"I'm proud that we reached the IPL finals. We were cruising to victory in the 15th over but lost the plot in the last five overs," Mallya said.
Mallya still seems to be trying hard to come to terms with his team's six run defeat.
"We were not beaten by six runs, we gave the match away by six runs," he said.
