
Kathmandu, May 24: Madhav Kumar Nepal, was elected as the new Nepal Prime Minister unanimously on the floor of the interim Parliament. However the Maoists boycotted the exercise and announced that they would not join the new government.
He was the former chief of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (UML). He will now lead the he republic's second communist-led government after a brief nine-month communist rule in the 1990s. He will be sworn-in on Tuesday, May 26 by President Ram Baran Yadav.
