NDA and 3rd Front sour, will keep allies says UPA

New Delhi, May 17: The tiring five phase election process and remarkable efforts put in by all contenders as well as the voters finally paid off when the results unveiled a sensational triumph of Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) on Saturday, May 16.

Even after emerging as the single largest party, the UPA has made it clear that it will stay will the allies to form the government after its Lok Sabha election victory.

"First of all, we will sit with our UPA allies. There were some allies who contested elections separately but they have always said that they are with UPA and we have also been saying that UPA is intact," Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi told reporters.

Crossing all predictions and expectations, Congress has emerged victorious in many states. Claiming that the country voted them in for stability, UPA now is set to decide on the key potfolios.

The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party-lead NDA and the Left-led Third front are sour still trying to recover from the results. The former prime ministerial candidate L K Advani made this evident when he made a expressed his desire to quit as the opposition leader
