Tata, SBI, Infy among world's top reputed firms

India's second largest software exporter, Infosys
Washington, May 12: Among the world's top 200 reputable companies, Indian firms occupy 17 of the top 50 slots including Tata, State Bank of India (SBI) and Infosys.

On a pulse score ranging from 0 to 100, Tata Group with a pulse score of 80.89 was ranked 11th above the global giants like Google, Microsoft, General Electric, Toyota, Coca-Cola, Intel and Unilever. SBI with a pulse of 78.11 was ranked 29th while Infosys was at the 39th slot with a pulse of 77.45.

Italy based chocolate producer Ferrero rose from the fourth rank to the first with a pulse score of 85.17, making it the most reputable company of the world.

The Reputation Institute's global pulse measures corporate reputation by averaging perceptions of four indicators - trust, esteem, admiration and good feeling. The results are obtained from a representative sample of at least 100 respondents in the companies' home countries.
