Indian Mujahideen co-founder Sadiq Shaikh set free

Saadiq Shaikh
Mumbai, May 12: The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCCOA) court on Monday, acquitted the co-founder of Indian Mujahideen, Sadiq Shaikh in the July 11, 2006 serial train blasts case embarrassing Mumbai crime branch. He was booked in the 7/11 train bombing, which killed 188 people. The ATS filed an application in the court and said it had not found evidence to believe that IM was responsible for the train blasts after questioning Shaikh for over 8 months.

They have even subjected him to a series of scientific tests, including brain mapping, lie detector and narco analysis. Mumbai Crime Branch arrested Shaikh claiming that he was involved in the serial blasts. His custody was then transferred to the ATS, which investigated the blasts.
