26/11: Court charges Kasav with murder

Mumbai, May 6: Ajmal Kasab aka Azam Amir Kasav, the Pakistani national caught in connection with 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks was charged by the Mumbai court with murder and waging war against the nation. Fahim Ansari, Ahmed Sahabuddin, two Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives arrested in connection with the attack are also charged. When the Special Court judge ML Tahaliyani explained the charges framed against him, Kasab said, "Yeh sab galat hain, hume yeh kabool nahin hain (All this is wrong, I do not accept this)."

Kasav is directly accused in 7 cases. He is also charged with murder of 72 people. Meanwhile Fahim Ansari is charged with forging documents. Court had framed 86 charges against all the three accused. Trio is also charged with murder of 166 people.

In court Kasav and the other two pleaded 'not guilty' of all the charges. He also admitted to the court that he is '21 years' old. Six Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) officers are likely to appear as witnesses. About 1,200 witnesses will be examined during trial.

Mumbai police releases 26/11 attackers' photo

Mumbai, Dec 10: On Tuesday, Dec 9 Mumbai police released the photographs and names of the terrorists who carried out 26/11 Mumbai terror strikes. Some of the pictures are from the IDs found on them after they were killed in the encounter.
