JKLF activists, police clash in Srinagar, five injured

Srinagar, May 1 (ANI): At least five persons, including two policemen were injured on Friday in clashes between the police and activists of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).

Police said the JKLF demonstrators were protesting against the holding of elections in the Kashmir Valley.

The clash took place in the Padmaloo area of Srinagar, they said. Further details are awaited. (ANI)

Pak will continue all support to Kashmir: Gilani

Islamabad, Jun 17: Pakistan will continue to extend moral, diplomatic and political support for the Kashmiri freedom struggle, and a sustainable peace in South Asia could not be achieved without the settlement of the Kashmir dispute, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani reportedly said while talking to JKLF Chairman Yasin Malik in Islamabad last evening. Gilani said that his country was in favour of a just and peaceful resolution of the problem in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people......
