New Delhi, Apr 24: Coca Cola one of the leading global beverages company on Friday, Apr 24 said that its $250 million investments in India are on track and will not hold it back despite global economic downturn.

Atul Singh, the Coca Cola India President said, "India is a strategic market. We had announced an investment plan of $25o million, to be invested over the three years. Those plans are intact." He also said that the company would continue to invest on infrastructure and bottling line as required.

Pepsi exempted from equity divestment obligation

New Delhi, Jan 2: Pepsico India Holding need not divest 49 per cent equity in bottling firms to Indian companies. Reason: The govt on Friday, Jan 2 exempted it from the obligation following change in FDI rules for the food processing sector.The exemption also prepares the ground for infusion of Rs 250 crore (USD 50 million) foreign direct investment by the beverages major in India. K'taka to act against more carbonated drinks

Bangalore, Aug 22: The Karnataka Government has found that two more aerated drinks contained pesticides above the permissible level and proposed to file cases against the company in the next few days, Health Minister R Ashok disclosed today. Talking to reporters here he said the Government had tested the drinks at laboratories and confirmed the presence of pesticides.Karnataka had already banned the sale of aerated drinks in educational institutions, hospitals, both Government and private, temples, in property leased.....
